Check out Frugal Foodie every Friday for a selection of the latest coupons for casual and fancy fare. Just yesterday, it seems, we were salivating after free smoothie, iced coffee or ice cream deals. But we’re already mid-way through October and many restaurants and other food establishments are rolling out Halloween-themed promotions and other deals that are simply scary-good! In our dining deals roundup this week we feature free “scary-face” pancakes, deals for Facebook fans, cheap lobster and steak, and early-bird Restaurant Week specials, among other deals. 1. IHOP On October 29, kids ages 12 and younger get a free “scary face” pancake. Participating locations only. 2. Besito The Huntington, N.Y. restaurant, offers Facebook parties for its fans, with free appetizers and a margarita. 3. White Castle Facebook fans of the chain can get a print out coupon by Oct. 22 good for a free garlic cheese slider. Participating locations only. Coupon must be used by October 30. 4. Greater Manchester Restaurant Week Through October 24, participating Vermont restaurants are offering special three-course menus for $29.95. 5. Black Angus Use a print out coupon to get the trio of top sirloin steak, lobster and shrimp for $15.95. Regularly, it goes for $29.99. Participating locations only. Deal expires November 8. 6. Hotel Shangri-La The Santa Monica hotel’s restaurant now has a $15 special entrée each night, as well as a special three-course menu for $15 on Tuesdays. 7. Pick Up Stix Buy one entrée and a drink, and get a second entrée of equal or lesser value free with a print out coupon. Participating locations only. Expires October 31. 8. T.G.I. Friday’s Through October 23, save 25% on your total food bill with a print out coupon. Participating locations only. 9. Richmond Pre-Restaurant Week Specials Restaurant Week doesn’t start until October 25, but some restaurants have begun offering early-bird specials, including happy hour cocktail specials and a midweek three-course meal for $18. 10. Lone Star Steakhouse Save $7.50 when you purchase two entrees and present a print out coupon. Not valid on “2 for $20” promotion items. Participating locations only. Deal ends October 31.
