Cooking at home is the best way to save cash, but it’s nice to go out sometimes, too. Check out Frugal Foodie every Friday for a selection of the latest coupons for casual and fancy fare.

Where did April go? May is already here and before we know it, so will summer. This calls for some tasty summer freebies. This week, check out our coupons for free iced coffee, discount sandwiches, half-priced chocolate and more!

1. QuickChek

Become a Facebook fan of the convenience store chain and check the “Fan Exclusives” tab for a print coupon good for a free 20 oz. Jamaican Me Crazy iced coffee. Limit one per customer. Deal good through May 3.

2. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Through April 30, get a free store-brand bottled tea drink with the purchase of any lunch item or baked good. Must present this print out coupon. Participating locations only. 

3. Jack in the Box

Get a free Delio Trio Grilled Sandwich free with any purchase when you present a print out coupon at participating locations. Deal expires May 2.

4. Olive Garden

Present a print out coupon to save $2.50 per dinner entree, up to two entrees per coupon. (One coupon per visit, not valid for kids’ menu or lunch items.) Deal expires May 7.

5. Quiznos

Use print out coupons to get $1 off a Choose 2 Combo (includes a Choose 2, fountain drink chips or a cookie). Another coupon gets you a free fountain drink with the purchase of any sub, chopped salad, Choose 2 or Toasty Torpedo sandwich. Deals expire May 2.

6. La Salsa

Become a fan of the chain on Facebook and get a coupon for a free lunch entree with the purchase of another. Participating locations in California only. Deal expires May 13.

7. Pick Up Stix

Enjoy a host of print out coupons through May 3. Deals include any two chicken entrees for $12, $5 off any purchase of $20 or more, and a free entree with the purchase of any other entree and drink. Participating locations only.

8. TheDealist.com

Through May 7, New Yorkers can pay $15 for a $30 voucher to 5th Avenue Chocolatiere. (Entire $30 value must be used in a single purchase before May 1, 2011.)

9. BuyWithMe.com

Through May 4, residents of Washington, D.C., can pay $15 for a $35 voucher on food and drinks at Sonoma’s. One voucher per guest per visit; dine-in orders only. Full value must be used in a single purchase. Can be used toward alcohol, but tip is not included.
