$2,000 For Our Millionth User and a Friend

We’re just weeks away from signing up our millionth user and if that turns out to be you or your friend, there will be a $2,000 prize in it for both of you.

We expect to reach this milestone by March 18, our 18 month anniversary. In celebration, we’re going to pay off the credit card debt of that millionth user, up to $2,000*. There’s never been a better time to sign up for Mint.com

And if you’re already a Mint.com user, thanks. We couldn’t have gotten this far without your trust and support — our growth has been driven by the recommendations of our users, so we’ll also pay off the credit card debt of the person that recommended Mint.com to that lucky new user. So if you’ve told your friends about us in the past and they haven’t signed up yet, you may want to remind them to sign up soon. Feel free to send them this post or give ’em a nudge.

In other news, we’re honored to say that Mint.com has been nominated for the 2009 SXSW People’s Choice Awards for excellence in web design. If you find Mint.com easy-to-use and easy-on-the-eye we’d love it if you’d cast your vote for us in the “CSS” category (a bit geeky but we take a lot of pride in our design). You can vote once a day and the winner will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place on March 15.

*and if the millionth user (and/or that friend) are so minty that they have no credit card debt, we’ll open a new savings account with $2,000 or add it to an existing account for the millionth user and their friend.
